Today I am a blogger. Anyone interested? I'll tell you about daily activities like birding (today). I had a fabulous time and my ankle/foot is letting me know that it is too old to take the walking that i subjected it to. Oh, well, if you don't walk, how can you see what is out there? And we did see lots. There were 2 eagles nests with eagles in them. Always a thrill! But my favorite of the day was a momma black whistling duck with 3 babies right with her. Oh, but I must mention the green winged teal duck with the sun shining on the green making it look like an emerald. And it is always a thrill to see red-headed woodpeckers as we don't see them very often. My group went to Circle B Bar Ranch, a recently acquired parcel of land that now boasts a Discovery Center which is gorgeous and filled with interesting nature exhibits geared for school groups and others. God's nature is fascinating. I met a young man who volunteers there almost every day. He is a photographer and has spent hours and days of watching, following and waiting to get that perfect video of an animal. Now the center has a large screen showing a video of his efforts. Fabulous!
Now I am organizing packing for my Chicago flight on Monday, so gotta go..
